September 09 - 13: Mildura and Ocean Grove and home

Crossing the border in Victoria was a bit underwhelming after the big signposts that had welcomed us to other states, but it did feel exciting to be in our home state again.

We spent a couple of nights staying with Alex’s girlfriends’ parents (with Tess and Alex too). It was lovely to be in a comfortable home again and felt pretty special to be able to spend this time together at the end of our trip. We bought Alex and Tess back to Geelong and continued to Ocean Grove where we will store our van.

In all honestly, after travelling for 3 months and 15,200k’s, it all feels a bit overwhelming to be home again – familiar, comfortable, lovely to spend time with my boys and my Mum, but I will be taking it slowly getting back to ‘real life’. Lucky, I don’t need to go back to work for a couple of weeks…
