July 11-13 - Crossing the Nullarbor

We were really looking forward to crossing the Nullarbor, it was a big reason for us choosing to travel to Western Australia. We loved it.

We loved: driving on Australia’s longest, straightest road; the spectacular cliffs on the Great Australian Bight; seeing the whales swimming at Bunda cliffs; the weird time zone at Caiguna (and the fact that our phones couldn’t work out what the time should be). We endured the roadhouse at Caiguna, but enjoyed chatting with other travellers here too. It was great to stay at the iconic Nullarbor Roadhouse. All in all, a great experience visiting such a remote part of our country.
