July 17 - Whyalla (via Kimba)

We headed to Whyalla via Kimba. I was interested to see Kimba after meeting a group of travellers from Kimba on our previous trip. It was lovely and quirky. It would have been an interesting place to stay, but we needed to push on.

Whyalla is an industrial town. It is dominated by its port for the shipment of iron ore, which looked like it hadn’t changed much since the beginning of the 20th century when it was established. It was too windy to set up our awning or furniture, so we headed out to an Indian restaurant for dinner. Just lovely!
