Day 47/55. Darwin. Too Hot to Trot

Its Hot. Damn Hot. The sweat goes trickling down my back, and everywhere else. The heat makes everything hot to touch. It is surprising that the freezer section at Woolies isn’t the favourite place to hang out for all Darwinians. Did I mention it is winter? The locals are famous for being laid back, but really, they have just had all their energy sapped by the heat. We are here at the best time apparently, dry season. Next month, it is “The build up”. As far as I can make out, the build up is the foreplay to the wet season. Apparently, it all keeps getting hotter and hotter, more sweaty and more humid until finally the sky explodes and starts raining intensely every day. This is when some people actually leave and go to Melbourne for their moderate summer.
