Highlight of the day for me was shopping at the Bendigo Woollen Mills factory shop…so many choices to make. I left with two bags of wool to knit into a blanket. I will have lots of time to make a start on this with the many hours of driving that we have in front of us. I feel like it will be a big, ongoing project.
Already, we can see that some of the country towns we pass through are run down, with many shops closed – legacy from covid, cost of living crises, some other reason? I really don’t know, but Deniliquin seemed to be one of these. The utes were fun, and I imagine there is a truly different feeling at the time of the Deni Ute Muster later in the year.
