We travelled an hour and a half down the road from Deniliquin to Hay and found a completely different vibe. The main street in Hay was bustling, there was artwork on the silos, the history of the town was being remembered and visitors were being educated. The people we met were super friendly.
We loved the street art and enjoyed wondering around the museums, learning about the prisoners of war and the history of the jail. It was both confronting and interesting.
We came away from home to learn more about our country, and we are doing this already.
