August 14th to 16th. Mission Beach

We had the rainiest day of our trip at Mission Beach when we ventured out between downpours and came home soaked from the warm tropical rain. Seeing one of the elusive cassowaries was a bonus.

We enjoyed visiting Tully, one of the wettest towns in Australia, especially swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Alligators Nest waterhole.
