August 17th to 20th. Innot Hot Springs and Pinnarendi Station Stay

We decided to head west to escape the rainy coast and visit the Innot Hot Springs. Such a beautiful way to spend the day, soaking in the naturally hot water. We camped onsite, and although encouraged by some locals to soak in the hot river, chose to make the most of the multiple pools in the spa centre. Just lovely.

We headed to Queensland’s highest town, Ravenshoe to find the variety bash car rally was on the move. Excitement was in the air as around 90 fully decorated cars rolled into the little town.

Pinnarendi Station provided a beautiful place to camp for a few nights away from the coast. We used it as a base to visit the Undara Lava Tubes and also spent time planning the next part of our trip. Our walks through the bush were filled with the sounds of the many different types of birds singing.
